Follow on Google News | 5th Annual Vigil For Angel Of HopeAngela’s House Will Hold a Candlelight Healing Ceremony to Cap Off 20th Year
Angela’s House was established in 1992 and has since been helping families coordinate the complex array of home care and residential services for children that are medically fragile, chronically ill or living with a life threatening illness. The Angel of Hope name comes from a best-selling book and television movie called The Christmas Box by Richard Paul Evans, who inspired this statue. In 1996, in response to reports that grieving parents were actually seeking out the statue described in the book, Evans commissioned an angel statue to stand in the City Cemetery in Salt Lake City, which served as the setting for his book. This has inspired close to 100 communities to bring the Angel of Hope statue to their town. The event will be another milestone in a catalog year for the organization. Angela’s House has been celebrating their 20th year in assisting local families with care for medically fragile children. In case of inclement weather the ceremony will be held inside the Veterans Monument. For additional information about Angela’s House visit www.AngelasHouse.org or call (631) 979-2620.
