PRLog - Nov. 28, 2012 - NEW YORK -- Laurie Strickland is a playwright and director and along with partner John Greenleaf are adapting and staging a new innovative workshop production of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story of Christmas featuring an amazing ensemble including Film/TV/Theatre veteranAustin Pendleton as Ebenezer Scrooge. After evening performances, audience talk backs will take place with Austin and Declan Kiely, curator for the Morgan Library's Charles Dickens at 200. This compelling classic anew, and profound work will be coming to audiences this holiday season, viewed through the most personal of perspectives. It's over 150 years old and this company will still telling this tale of transformation, hope and redemption. Now re-visited for the times we live in and the city of New York.

Recently majored in Film and Television from Universidad Veritas (“Dele Viaje” was his Thesis Project). Currently working as a Producer in "Ojalá Comunicación"
And musical guest, Ciara Martinez, a 22 year old singer/songwriter from Orange County NY. She has been singing for as long as she can remember. Her favorite vocalist and biggest musical influence is Christina Aguilera, however she has a very wide range of musical interests. Ciara has been playing guitar for the better part of 4 years and she is self-taught. Having started college as an engineering major, but later realized that she needed to follow her passion for music so she is currently in the music program at SUNY Orange. Ciara's dream has always been to sing for hundreds and thousands of people. She can be shy at times, but singing and performing on stage is the only thing she has ever wanted to do and now continue to do for the rest of her life. Ciara says she sings and plays music because it feels good and it makes her and others happy. To have people hear her music and to have it be well received is the greatest feeling in the world.
