Follow on Google News | Change Your Mind, Change Your Game...Experts Team Up to Teach Mental Skills in TennisMany tennis players spend a lot of time and money learning the tactical and technical skills of tennis. Few players invest the same energy in mastering the mental skills. Yet any competitive tennis player will tell you the mind is the one to conquer.
In a 2 Hour Free Workshop, December 8, 2012, 1:30-3:30pm, at the Eastern Athletic Club in Melville, NY the dynamic duo will give participants a first hand glimpse as to their current level of mental skills acumen as well as an introduction into the specifics of a comprehensive training program. The seeds of Tennis to the Max were sown when Ms. Greenbaum would listen to Coach Sperber point out how difficult it was for some of his high school, varsity tennis players, to match their performance and confidence level when practicing to those same levels when actually competing during matches. Performance under pressure is often a problem for many athletes. Training and practice are the answer. Tennis to the Max offers the competitive player the best of both worlds in learning these skills: a Master Tennis Instructor and a Master Mental Skills expert, working in tandem. One student from our last workshop said: "I feel, since participating in the program, I am playing the best tennis of my life. I feel so much more confident in my game using a number of their techniques to stay focused. This was the best investment I could have ever made in my tennis game!" **** Fred Sperber has been coaching tennis for over 27 years. He is the currently coaching Oyster Bay Girls Tennis team and is a full time pro at Eastern Athletic Club in Melville. Tina Greenbaum is a sport psychology consultant, a holistic psychotherapist and a workshop leader. She has been in practice for over 30 years. For further information: End
