The sale came as a surprise to Jennifer McCulley, owner of The Cottage Restaurant. She explains, "I had no idea the building and land were being offered for sale. I was notified after the deal was nearly completed. This has been a difficult time and I'm not sure what the future brings, but I have to believe that all will work out for the best."
To thank her loyal customers and celebrate memories of The Cottage Restaurant, McCulley is hosting a Holiday party on Thursday, December 6 on the restaurant's famous patio. It was important to her that the evening be a celebration. As such, she will adorn the patio with holiday decor and has invited Los Angeles artist Jess Black to sell hand painted ornaments. Black will also offer The Cottage Restaurant commemorative ornaments in a unique size, special colors, and incorporate sand from the local beaches. Also present will be Joseph Quillan Jewelry and famed intuitive psychic, Rebecca Fisk.
Taking place on the evening of Laguna Beach's famous art walk, Ms. McCulley will serve fresh chili, cornbread and hot cider all evening, complements of The Cottage Restaurant.
