PRLog - Nov. 27, 2012 - SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Bay Area Mortuary Services announced today that they are an official drop off station for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys For Tots Program.
Toys For Tots
The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, an IRS recognized 501(c) 3 not for profit charity, is the authorized fund raising and support organization for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program.
The mission of the Foundation is to provide a tangible sign of hope to economically disadvantaged children during Christmas. While the Marines coordinate and manage the program, the Foundation’s success depends on the support of the local community and the generosity of people who donate toys, and that is why Bay Area Mortuary Services has joined this cause.
“Whether at home or abroad, Marines are committed to helping those who are in need of help,” says John Sparrer, owner of Bay Area Mortuary Services and formerly with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves and currently serving with the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. “Struggling families throughout San Jose rely on local charities for support, and this year, the need for help is even greater.”
Bay Area Mortuary Services, a family-owned and operated funeral home, wants to help ensure every child in the San Jose area has an exciting Christmas with at least one toy to bring a smile to their face Christmas morning.
Please help give the gift of Christmas to every child in San Jose this holiday by dropping off a new unwrapped toy at Bay Area Mortuary Services & Community Chapel located at 1701 Little Orchard Street in San Jose, CA 95125 for the Marines Toys For Tots Program.
Toys will be accepted Monday through Friday from 9:00am – 5:00pm until December 18, 2012.
