Nov. 27, 2012 - PRLog -- Sterling silver chaffing dish on stand. Made by Gorham in 1903. Dish is circular and shallow with reeded rim and carved ivory handle. Dome cover has repoussé flowers and foliate scroll handle. Stand rests on 4 paw feet, which in turn rest on ivory supports. It is decorated with floral and foliate ornament. The reeded circular stretcher supports the 3-flame heating element, each with ivory handle.

Pretty and practical for those buffet suppers when the servants have the night off.
