Allen James is a psychotherapist, guidance counselor, author and college English instructor. James has taught for Mineral Area College for the past 25 years and Southeast Missouri State University since 2006. He has written five novels; Reflections (1990), The Michelle Syndrome (1993), Midnight Journey (1995), The End (2004) and Lady in Black (2010) and is presently working on his sixth and seventh novels, Murder at Pendale Lodge and Diary of a DWI as well as a children's book entitled Crystal the Condor Makes Friends due for release in the spring of 2013.
Originally from western Kentucky, presently James is living in rural southeast Missouri. James attained his BS in Communications in 1983, his MA in Psychological Counseling in 1989 and his PhD in Psychological Counseling in 2000.
His recent series consists of 5 calendar books, "A Man's Daily Guide to Success", "A Woman's Daily Guide to Success", "A Graduate's Daily Guide to Success", "A Teacher's Daily Guide to Success" and "A Counselor's Daily Guide to Success". As well his newly released collection of prose and poetry; "From the Heart: prose and poetry from the depths of life is now available.
