Follow on Google News | Southeast Missouri State Alumni - Instructor Publishes Book SeriesDr. James Allen Harryman PhD, a SEMO alumuni ('89 MA) and English/Communications instructor writing under the name of Allen James has released his "Guide to Success" series as well as a collection of prose and poetry.
Allen James is a psychotherapist, guidance counselor, college English instructor and author. He has written five novels; Reflections (1990), The Michelle Syndrome (1993), Midnight Journey (1995), The End (2004) and Lady in Black (2010) and is presently working on his sixth and seventh novels, Murder at Pendale Lodge and Diary of a DWI as well as a children's book entitled Crystal the Condor Makes Friends due for release in the spring of 2013. Originally from western Kentucky, presently James is living in rural southeast Missouri. James attained his BS in Communications in 1983, his MA in Psychological Counseling in 1989 and his PhD in Psychological Counseling in 2000. His present series consists of 5 calendar books, "A Man's Daily Guide to Success", "A Woman's Daily Guide to Success", "A Graduate's Daily Guide to Success", "A Teacher's Daily Guide to Success" and "A Counselor's Daily Guide to Success".
