Doctor Phil Thompson, who, since it was installed last year, has been operating this state of the art Lithotripsy machine which is the only one in the region said “ I am delighted that we have been able to help so many patients locally who suffer from kidney stones which can be a very persistent and a painful condition. The Lithotripsy service offers a safe and non invasive alternative to surgery and until we started offering this at Springfield, patients were having to travel to London for this treatment.”
