Anglesey born Steve is headlining the monthly event Poets at the DTC and will read his sixth collection of poems Surfacing which was published last year.
Jo Furber, Swansea Council’s Literature Officer said “Surfacing begins underground in an abandoned place, but soon there are stirrings, occasional explosions into an inexplicably dazzling light and flashes of humour.
“We are delighted that Steve is joining us for Poets at the DTC, which is an informal event where the audience can enjoy refreshments while listening to the reading.
“There will even be an open-mic session so members of the audience can get involved and showcase their own work”.
Tickets are £4, £2.80 concessions and £1.60 PTL. They will be available on the door, in advance by ringing 01792 463980 or online at http://www.ticketsource.co.uk/
2014 will mark the centenary of the birth of Dylan Thomas in Swansea and a series of events are being planned to commemorate one of the world’s greatest poets.
