Follow on Google News | Holiday Inn Summit County Supports Local and Global OrganizationsThe Holiday Inn Summit County hotel is supporting two organizations, both locally and globally and is really setting foot into the philanthropic community.
By: Holiday Inn Summit County Susan G. Komen, headquartered in Dallas, Texas, is an organization dedicated to education about the causes, treatment and search for the cure for breast cancer. This past October marked the 28th annual Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a global stride to help women feel empowered to take charge of their personal breast health and to gain awareness of the community in the fight to defeat breast cancer. The Holiday Inn Summit County began raising money on October 1, 2012 through Facebook "likes" on their business page www.facebook.com/ The Family and Intercultural Resource Center (FIRC) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to "promote stable families." This December, the Holiday Inn Summit County will donate non-perishable items such as cans of soup and boxes of macaroni to FIRC to help families in need. Two donation boxes are located in the lobby of the hotel. In January, the hotel team plans to spend a volunteer event giving back to the community again by helping with the FIRC food bank.
