The CeLPU at Seoul National University School of Law was established in 2006 with a focus on public utility that is directly connected to the interests of the public. Since its inception, the CeLPU has conducted professional research in the areas of electronic communications, energy, transportation and food. This year’s International Conference, “Personal Data Flows and Privacy Regulation in the Smart Media Era,” included speakers from Germany, Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, the United States and Korea.
Toohey is a U.S. Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) and an E.U. Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E). His practice concentrates on complex litigation, intellectual property and privacy and data protection matters. Toohey has extensive experience in all elements of intellectual property counseling and litigation, including trademark, copyright and patent matters. He has also handled numerous matters related to privacy and data protection, including those involving federal, state and international laws connected to data breach and disclosure of personally identifiable information.
