Brian Head, UT - This year, scenic southern Utah’s Brian Head Resort and beautiful national parks make it an ideal winter playground for a destination vacation and an affordable price. A quick three-hour drive from Las Vegas airport makes Scenic Southern Utah accessible from anywhere in the world.

Snow Sports at Brian Head Resort

Brian Head Resort is a gem of the slopes just a few hours outside of Salt Lake City. While other resorts can cost $100 per day, an adult lift ticket at Brian Head is only $49 (non-holiday). The winter options are varied and plentiful, with more than 600 acres for skiing, snowboarding, tubing, Nordic skiing, snow shoeing, and snowmobiling to red rock overlooks.

The ski school at Brian Head caters to all types of lessons- from teaching toddlers to “get better” lessons for adults, you can customize your experience for every member of the family.

Brian Head resort is Utah’s only full-service resort destination and offers lodging both on and off the mountain in addition to the snow sport opportunities that include cabin rentals, condos, vacation homes, and resort hotel lodging.

National Parks and natural areas

Scenic beauty continues at Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks for individual, group and family recreation. Park visitors can enjoy the snow-covered area and take hikes, backpack, go sledding, learn astronomy and take snowshoe trips through the parks. Zion National park is a popular spot for climbing and bouldering with challenging crags for experienced mountaineers.

The parks preserve the history of the area with museum collections of more than 30,000 artifacts. These items tell a fascinating story about the land and the people that lived on it. The museum features history of native culture, vegetation, environment and other aspects about the park and the surrounding area.

Festival City USA keeps its name with the Bryce Canyon Winter Festival, which includes ski races, free tours, snow sculptures, archery lessons, kids’ activities and much more. The festival takes place during President’s weekend and promises lots of winter fun.
