The band introduced the "Freedom Rock Experience" concert series in 2011 to honor American military heroes by featuring the talents of select high school orchestras throughout the US. The new music video was produced by Bob Vincent, president of Orchard Productions of Dallas, featuring the Mountain View High School Choir from Mesa, Arizona, with Melanie Yarger on cello, Ikuko Kanda Whitecamp on violin and the full orchestra symphonic sounds scored by Beau Shekeryk.
CTS founder Jeff Senour was inspired to write "Snowball Express,” the official song of the charitable organization, after attending their holiday event in 2007 for the first time. “It’s very gratifying for CTS to help Snowball Express provide such a wonderful event for deserving military families by highlighting the musical talents of America’s youth with the Freedom Rock Experience we started a few years ago to help fund school music programs,” said Senour. He added, “our band loves performing at this event due to the overwhelming positive response from all the kids and family members.”
“We are extremely honored Jeff Senour wrote the song ‘Snowball Express’. It is an uplifting and inspirational tribute to the children and families of our fallen military heroes, honoring their service and sacrifice in a positive way. We are deeply grateful Jeff is donating the download fee proceeds from the sale of the song and music video to Snowball Express. We encourage the public to download the song and music video to help us achieve our mission to bring these children together to help them heal,” said Buck Kern, Executive Director for Snowball Express.
The band’s goal is to generate additional funding for the organization with new music video downloads so more families can attend the 2012 Snowball Express celebration in Dallas, held November 30 through December 4.
The new “Snowball Express” music video and audio versions of the song are available on CTSmusic.com, CD Baby, iTunes, and Amazon. Download fees are tax deductible.
