Jack Clemons to be the new CEO of Bata

PRLog (Press Release) - Nov. 26, 2012 - Thomas G. Bata, Chairman of the Bata Shoe Organization (BSO), announced the appointment of the new Chief Executive for the group. Jack Clemons (46) joined Bata in the year 2006 and has served as President of Bata Brands and Group Chief Financial Officer. In this position he worked with the management of the world’s leading footwear retailer and manufacturer and contributed to the positive development of the group. Chairman Bata: “With the company in a sound position we decided to prepare for the next major push forward and Jack Clemons is the person who will lead the group forward.”

Jack Clemons: extensive contributions to the improvement in performance

Jack Clemons is well known throughout the BSO and contributed extensively in the clarifying of the business model and introducing processes that have contributed to the improvement in performance. Chairman Bata expressed his enthusiasm that Jack Clemons has the right background to ensure continuity while bringing a fresh perspective and approach. Jack Clemons, British citizen, is based at the Bata office in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Rino Rizzo, the previous CEO has led the growth and overall excellent performance of the group. Rizzo and Clemons have worked very closely over a number of years to ensure the transfer of experience and knowledge. The official handover will be completed by the end of this year when Rino Rizzo will retire as CEO.
