Horsforth St Margaret’s Junior Football Club – one of the biggest junior football clubs in West Yorkshire – has over 300 footballers and boasts 36 teams from under 8 to 18 age groups. The club helps encourage and develop both local female and male football talent.
The under 18s team – currently in the Craven Aire and Wharfe League, division 18B – comprises of 37 of male youngsters all looking to improve their skills on the pitch to become rising football stars of the future.
As their new official sponsor – Red Robot Media – a Leeds based company will help give the team a financial boost that will help the team with assets needed in training such as up-to-date football kits and equipment.
Phil Broadley, Coach and Manager of Horsforth St Margaret’s U17A said: “It’s really great to have a local company get behind the U17A team, as they will be keener to take an invested interest in the Leeds and West Yorkshire community.
“Horsforth St Margaret’s U17A were desperately in need of sponsorship to help equip the lads out with new kit for the start of the season as our original sponsors pulled out at the start of the season.
“We are so happy to have Red Robot Media on board – Red Robot Media are invaluable to the success of helping cultivate local talent – without them our boys would not have the right kit for winter.”
Matthew Dixon, who runs Red Robot Media said: “Although we are a smaller company and have a limited budget compared to the more typical large chain sponsors we really wanted to get behind Horsforth St Margaret’s U17.
“Sports are so important for youngsters’ health, development and future and we believe it’s really important for the local community to support our young peoples’ growth and improvement – that’s why we are already looking into another phase of sponsorship.”
