The event sought to provide training and real world information on new business methods, strategies, and best practices from a host of experts on a wide range of subjects, including both Rob Kosberg and Marc Feinberg, co-founders of TACB. But the star of the show was Evander Holyfield, the new business spokesperson for the association. Clearly unafraid of the limelight, Holyfield was eager to step in and mix it up with attendees and founders alike, and spoke passionately about his own trials and sacrifices, faith in God, and success in business, creating a compelling image for TACB attendees.
States Rob Kosberg, co-founder of TACB: “When we partnered with Evander, we knew his image would potentially bear great weight and positively impact our members’ marketing efforts.” Recalling their modest beginnings with the program, Kosberg continues: “We started TACB because we wanted for it to be THE place where Christian businesses seeking explosive growth and dramatic productivity would come to find current, relevant marketing strategies. With the help of a real champion, we are now taking it to the next level.”
An associate professor at Harvard Business School, Anita Elberse recently stated in a CNN interview: “Marketers of brands that employ the services of celebrities will know that few promotional strategies can impact the bottom line as much as -- and as quickly as -- forming an alliance with a celebrity.” Her groundbreaking study on the use of celebrity endorsements showed that brand names across a variety of industries saw sales increases of 20% or more after selecting an appropriate celebrity spokesperson.
Christopher Humphrey, CEO and President of Data One Merchant Services, shared his thoughts after coming off the stage: “You can’t miss the opportunity or beat the combination offered by TACB and Holyfield – marketing and business experts on one side; five-time heavyweight champion on the other… It’s victory all around.”
