GreasePaint is a documentary film by Daniel Espeut that follows Joey Thurmond and his family as they travel around the country performing the art of American circus clowning. The movie resurrects the dying art of clowning demonstrated by Joey’s love for the craft and makes sure that people see the human side of clowning.

About Joey Thurmond:
Joey Thurmond’s performing career began when he was performing as a professional wrestler for World Championship Wrestling. After suffering a career ending injury, Joey focused on another dream, being a police officer. Proudly serving the Atlanta metro area for over 15 years and being decorated 3 times, Joey found the dreams of childhood and circus calling louder than ever. While on his honeymoon, Joey's life changed after a visit to the Ringling Circus Museum.
