Modulift obtain DNV Design Approval.

PRLog (Press Release) - Nov. 22, 2012 - Modulift is proud to announce that it is the first and only Spreader Beam Manufacturer in the world to have the globally recognised DNV Design Approval as standard on our range of spreaders up to 600 tonnes in capacity. This is in accordance with DNV’s standard for Certification No. 2.22 for Lifting Appliances 2011 - it comes at no extra cost!  With the heavylift industry standards evolving at such a rapid rate Modulift felt the need to ensure that all its spreader beams comply with the highest standards required.

As a highly respected company who manages risk on behalf of a number of industries including Maritime and Oil & Gas,  DNV have developed an extremely high standard for lifting appliances that minimises risk, and now most individual countries use DNV’s guideline regulations against their own.

DET NORSKE VERITAS (DNV) is an independent foundation with the objectives of safeguarding life, property and the environment, onshore and offshore. DNV undertakes classification, certification, and other verification consultancy services relating to the quality of ships for offshore units and installations as well as onshore industries worldwide, they also carry out research in relation to these functions.
