Film gains support of army of online followers to help crowdfund production

PRLog (Press Release) - Nov. 22, 2012 - With less than 3 weeks to go until its deadline, 24weekers.com is rallying its online troops and followers to help make the funding happen.

Alan Entwistle, the film’s writer and director and who’s child, Jack, the story surrounds said ‘The story is emotional and doesn’t shy from some of the very difficult subject areas – no question - but it’s a film about family – a testament to the support we all can give each other and a testament to the NHS and the incredible work they do. It’s powerful, yes, but full of hope and love.’

The film’s Facebook presence has been racking up new followers at around 100 a week which Alan and his wife Karen are hopeful will increase even further as the news spreads.

24weekers.com tells the story of Jack Entwistle, born at 24 weeks gestation in 2005 through the eyes of his Mum Karen and Dad Alan, the film’s writer and director. The film has already gained many online followers and support via its website (http://24weekers.com/), Facebook presence (https://www.facebook.com/24weekers) and Twitter account (@24weekers). The production has also signed up a host of well known faces from film and TV who have committed to star in the movie once it gets underway including: Kate Coogan (Hollyoaks, The Royal, Emmerdale, Cold Feet and A Touch of Frost), Steve Huison (The Full Monty, Coronation Street, The Royal) and Amber Hodgkiss (Bedlam, Hollyoaks, Grange Hill); and a selection of some of the UK's great talents from the stage.
