After having a screened film the festival favorite entitled Her, the Orange County based provider of critically acclaimed gourmet tacos sought its director in the effort to help convey the classic look, feel and ambiance that is usually entailed with SoHo Taco’s gourmet taco catering. Fortunately, Sugimoto agreed to take on the project.
“If you’ve ever tried SoHo Taco’s cuisine,” the filmmaker stated, “you know there’s a certain timelessness to it. So, when they asked me to help make a short video capturing that essence I was thrilled to come on board.”
The entire filming took place on a single day on the rooftop of an artist enclave enveloped by sweeping views of downtown Los Angeles.
“It might be modern day,” Sugimoto continued, “But there’s nothing like a classic view of an L.A. skyline.”
The video starts off with certain shots of famous landmarks and familiar local street scenes. Then, the camera takes the viewer to a rooftop where a special occasion is taking place, SoHo Taco cooks are preparing meals and guests are clearly enjoying themselves.
