Michael C. “Nick” Niarchos has joined the law firm of Johns & Durrant LLP in an “Of Counsel” position effective November 6, 2012. Before his association with Johns & Durrant LLP, Mr. Niarchos served for 17 years as the Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary for the Summa Corporation and Howard Hughes Properties.
During his tenure at the Hughes companies, Mr. Niarchos was instrumental in the development of major real estate projects, including the Summerlin master-planned community, Hughes Center and Hughes Airport Center in Las Vegas, Nevada as well as Playa Vista and The Howard Hughes Center in Los Angeles, California. Mr. Niarchos left the Hughes companies in 1998 after their sale to the Rouse Corporation. Since then he has been in private practice and has represented numerous clients including The Las Vegas Monorail, the City of Las Vegas and the City of Henderson Nevada.
