Nov. 21, 2012 - PRLog -- The London Business School has implemented the launch of ‘Making Innovation Happen’ programme for executives, applicable to a working environment. This programme has been designed to best harness the potential of new ideas from the rudimentary stage of the idea to the finished product. It would assist the executives in getting to grips with the entire innovation process and the fundamentals of implementation in real life situations.

Julian Birkinshaw, Professor of Strategy of Entrepreneurship at London Business School and Director of the new programme said, “Innovation is key to long-term survival and it goes beyond new product development. It means radically re-evaluating areas of your business, such as strategy, business processes, operations and management models.

“The essential part of innovation is taking new ideas and putting them to work. That is where the real progress is to be made”.

Professional development courses such as these help senior executives to bring innovation into the organisational culture. This is quite important for companies today as they face challenges on a daily basis to have operational sources of innovation in real-time. For a company to have sustainable growth it is vital that innovation be the force behind it. That is the only way forward.

Associate Dean of Executive Education, Sabine Vinck, said: “In today’s world, the pressure on senior executives to innovate, evolve and adapt is unrelenting; having to translate fresh ideas into reality can sometimes feel like an impossible task. By studying innovation across a range of industries and geographies, this programme will give executives the knowledge, tools and stimulus to drive innovation within their own organisations”.

The programme will have its first session on the 11th of February 2013 and would provide the benefit of instilling continuous innovation to those who wish to improve their position in their organisation through such Professional Development courses.
