Ajmal Kasab hanged at Yerwada Jail in Pune

Kasab was sentenced to death by Indian court. He was found guilty of 80 offences. Ka his deatsab’s death sentence was upheld by the Mumbai high court on February 21, 2011. And finally he was hanged on November 21, 2012 at 7:30 A.M.

Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab was born on 13th September 1987, a Pakistani militant. He along with some nine terrorists involved in the 2008 Mumbai attacks. Kasab was the only men captured alive by the Mumbai police. He has involved in attack of some hotels, hospitals, malls, in Mumbai, and also involved in the death of 166 peoples. Initially the Pakistan government refused the statement that kasb was from Pakistan, but by the time of January 2009, it was officially proved that kasab was a Pakistan citizen.

         Kasab was sentenced to death by Indian court. He was found guilty of 80 offences. Kasab’s death sentence was upheld by the Mumbai high court on February 21, 2011. Then his death sentence was up held by the Supreme Court of India on 29th August 2012. And finally he was hanged on November 21, 2012 at 7:30 A.M.

         Kasab was hanged in the high security yerwada jail in pune. After a long trial of four years, he was hanged. Maharashtra chief minister Prithviraj Chavan said that kasab was buried inside the high security jail itself at 9:30 A.M.

         Our union home secretary R K Singh said that family members of kasab have been informed about the hanging, through a letter. Home minister Sushil Shinde said:”Ajmal Kasab was hanged at 7.30am. it took only less than two weeks for Maharashtra government to hang kasab, after President Pranab Mukherjee rejected his mercy petition on November 5”.  He also added that the entire process was executed very secretly and Indian mission in Islamabad informs Pakistan government about kasab’s hanging through letter. But Pakistan refused to take the letter, which was then sent to them through fax.
