Abdulaziz AlFaisal achieves 2nd and 3rd in Race 1 and 2 consecutively…

Bahrain International Circuit hosed over the WE the long awaited first race of the 4th season of The Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East 2012/2013.
Team Saudi Falcons with its strong lineup; Faisal Binladen & Abdulaziz Turki Alfaisal have had a misfortune in the very first moments of the qualifications of Day 1 when Abdulaziz lost his acceleration due to a mechanical failure which turned to be a broken drive shaft!
The Team’s Mechanics did a tremendous job by replacing the parts and fixing the car enabling Abdulaziz to go out on the track during the very last minutes of the session and find his pace to place his car on the first raw securing P2.
At the start of Race 1, Abdulaziz managed to overtake his contenders and lead the race. Clemens Schmit - the Austrian Champion was following the Saudi falcons ‘s Abdulaziz bumper to bumper putting extensive pressure on the leader who failed to preserve his tires due to excessive blocking which enabled Schmit to over take Abdulaziz on lap 11 and maintaining their positions till the finish line.
On the other hand, Faisal Binladen have gained 2 positions over the race finishing 7th overall and 3rd in the silver category after starting from P9. Saudi Falcons secures then 2nd position in the teams classification.
In the 2nd Race Abdulaziz managed to finish 3rd after loosing his 2nd place to Salman bin Rashed from Bahrain leaving Clemens in first position to lead the pack. All 3 drivers finished in the same position.
The action though was in the Silver Category between Faisal Binladen and Zaid Ashkanani from Kuwait. The duel started from the first lap and continued till the checkered flag. “it was a very exciting race today, I started to get in shape after the long year without racing, I knew that it was about time to get the feeling and the performance will come. Hamdellah we secured 3rd place yesterday and today I won the silver category…” Faisal Binladen quoted after the race.
