San Dieguito Art Guild Out of the Dark and Into the Light Announcing New 501 3c Status

Nov. 20, 2012 - PRLog -- The San Dieguito Art Guild (SDAG),  “out of the dark and into the light” and excited to announce our new 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizational status. Thanks to the numerous hours of our 2011-2012 President, Cheryl Ehlers and Board Members, we are looking forward to venturing into the world of fundraising, adding to the ability to offer more outreach programs, and projects for the communities in North County.  Our 2012-2013 Board, headed by President Terry Allen, will be asking for assistance in researching grant opportunities for our organization, in hopes to launch more programs that will support the Guild and the local community.

SDAG was established in 1965 to further artistic understanding, foster artistic growth of members and the community at large, by promoting interest, education, knowledge and skills in the visual arts.  Managing the Off Track Gallery, we have over 200 members involved in our all-volunteer organization and we encourage our members to get involved in the community with the arts and promote art awareness alongside our organization..

This is exciting and we hope all to get involved and participate in our upcoming activities and fundraising events planned for 2013.  We need your support in many ways – time, talent, encouragement, leading by example and donations.  We have many areas where we need volunteers, including:  Community Outreach Programs, Fundraising, Underwriting and Campaigning to the Business Community, Grant Writing, Corporate Matching Donations, Educating the Community and much more. We look forward to our new year and the years ahead for the growth of SDAG and our membership.
