Sci-Fi Motion Picture Thriller To Become Venture’s First Faith-Based Graphic Novel

November 20, 2012 – Company Founders Stephen McNiel and Matt Green announced today that their joint venture is launching a Kickstarter offering to raise $16,000 for the production of a graphic novel based upon Matt’s feature length script, “Open Mind”. The two companies, Shelter Entertainment Studios, Inc. (SESI) and Film Bandit Productions (FBP) are in a long term relationship to produce faith-based media in all formats. “Once we met Matt we were taken by his producing and writing abilities and wanted to produce projects with him from the get go,” said SESI CEO McNiel. “He had so much to offer and the fastest way to get something moving forward was with “Open Mind” and the crowd sourcing site, Kickstarter.com,”
Once the decision was made to move froward the team got busy putting the presentation together under the direction of Green and Tom Zaczyk, SESI’s President. What really cemented the excitement of the project was the team that was assembled to create the comic book and distribute it. Two seasoned actors Anthony Tyler Quinn (“Boy Meets World”, Melrose Place”) - who also co-wrote the script with Matt - and Patrick Levis (“So Weird”, “Inside the Osmonds”) lent their likenesses to the characters. Also accomplished industry artists, David Rhoades added his talents to the project with great enthusiasm. “The sheer coolness of the concept of looking into somebody’s head… it’s intense and it’s a great image,” stated Rhoades.
