New Owners Purchase The Hammock Wine & Cheese Shoppe
Palm Coast, FL – The Hammock Wine & Cheese Shoppe is proud to announce that they are under new ownership.
The nearly 10-year-old wine and cheese shop nestled in the Hammock is now owned by Elke and Stephen Gallagher. They moved to Palm Coast from Rumson, New Jersey. Elke raised the couple’s three children – Stephen, Jr., Emilie, and Julia - while Stephen retired in 2011 after a 25-year banking career.
“We plan on continuing to offer live entertainment and we are revitalizing the art gallery,” Elke said. “We have a lot going on right now bringing in new landscaping and updating the gallery,” she added. They will continue to offer their gift baskets as well as many new holiday gift items that have already started to arrive.
The shop has served as a unique meeting place over the past nearly 10 years with visitors enjoying wine tasting events, sitting outside on the patio, strolling through the art gallery and listening to live music. Now there will be live music four days a week, along with a featured artist in the art gallery each month.
They will open Friday, November 23rd with live music, a wine tasting, and the opening of the revitalized art gallery from 5 pm – 8 pm. The first artist to be featured will be local Palm Coast resident Sandra Pierce. Her original oil paintings are now being shown at PASTA Fine Arts Gallery.
