Keystone Custom Homes Gives the Gift of Hope

Nov. 20, 2012 - PRLog -- Keystone Custom Homes, builder of Pennsylvania new homes, is excited to announce its Giving HOPE campaign. Through December 31, 2012, the builder will donate one dollar to HOPE International for every new “like” on Facebook.*

“It’s always nice to give back during the holidays, and HOPE is the perfect choice for us,” stated Jeff Rutt, president of Keystone Custom Homes. “In addition to spreading awareness of HOPE and Keystone, the campaign will help people across the world break free from poverty.”

Rutt founded HOPE in 1997 after helping transport goods, such as food, clothing and medical supplies, to the Ukraine during a mission trip. He learned that communities needed a hand up instead of just handouts. Therefore, the nonprofit organization addresses the employment gap faced by the world’s poor through the concept of microfinance.

HOPE provides small loans and savings services to entrepreneurs in 16 developing countries in Latin America, Africa, Eastern Europe and Asia. The organization reaches over 400,000 people and gives them opportunities to start or expand businesses.

As HOPE’s clients repay their loans, the same funds are issued to new borrowers. This chain of finances helps support even more livelihoods and families.

HOPE’s profits are also used to support locally run, children’s ministries. These are not limited to the children of clients, so they help HOPE expand its community outreach.
