SOREWARDING HOSTS HOLIDAY EVENT TO SUPPORT LOCAL NON-PROFIT

The Denver Santa Claus Shop showcased by Denver philanthropic social network

DENVER, November 20, 2012 ¾ Denver-based SoRewarding, a cause-focused social network that integrates giving into your daily activities, has teamed up with Baker St. Pub & Grill to host a benefit event for The Denver Santa Claus Shop on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 6pm.

SoRewarding’s goal is to involve a younger demographic in giving back to their community through integrating giving into daily activities. The RewardingCrew, SoRewarding’s events team, plans parties to bring the community together to give back to local nonprofit organizations. Partnering with The Denver Santa Claus Shop is one way for SoRewarding to thank the nonprofit for enhancing local youths’ holiday seasons while hoping to inspire young Denverites to support the organization through “Good times for Great Causes.”

The Denver Santa Claus Shop is a volunteer-run, nondenominational nonprofit organization that is all about children and toys. Their mission is that every child should have a toy at Christmas! This nonprofit organization has helped more than 1.5 million local children in the last 82 years. The Denver Santa Claus Shop is Metro Denver’s largest annual toy drive during the holiday season and is believed to be the longest, continually running charity of its kind in the United States.

The Shop sets up a giant, temporary “toy store” that opens for four days each December. The nonprofit relies on generous people and organizations to donate new and gently used toys to fill this store. By distributing gift certificates to parents, The Denver Santa Claus Shop enables families to shop at the toy store and select toys for their children.

SoRewarding’s event will not only showcase an amazing local non-profit but will also bring a new crowd to one of the Denver Tech Center’s favorite pubs. The Denver community recognizes Baker St. Pub & Grill for its unique, laidback atmosphere which is modeled around the home of the fictional detective Sherlock Holmes.

Anyone who would like to support this cause is encouraged to join the RewardingCrew at Baker St. Pub & Grill at 6:00pm at 8101 East Belleview Avenue.  Tickets are available for purchase on www.SoRewarding.com for $20 which include two drinks and appetizers. Guests are also encouraged to bring a toy (Newborn to 11 years) to be entered to win prizes.
