Follow on Google News | There's A New Way To Sight Read MusicIf you've given up on the "every good boy" method of reading, you'll be happy to know there's a better and faster way to learn how to read music.
By: Lucas Music Author Brian Lucas states, "Let's face it, if the old ways worked for everyone, far more people would be able to sight read". Over a decade ago, frustrated with the methods that were out there, Brian set out to create his own teaching method, based more in reality than in academics. "When I started teaching, I noticed that we didn't teach the way I would read music on a job. So I spent the next few months creating my own method". He calls the method the 9 Note Target Method, named because it teaches that knowing where 9 notes are will give you access to the entire musical staff, both the treble and the bass clef (many methods put off the bass clef until later). Brian says he's been teaching the method ever since and has seen amazing results with all students, some as young as 7 years old. This method is now available to anyone, anywhere in the ebook "Simple Sight Reading" all at less than half the cost of an average hour-long private lesson.
