AAC Keeps the Party Safe at Schoolies!

The Schoolies phenomenon is well chronicled in Australia. As tens of thousands of students graduate high school they descend on the Gold Coast, hell bent on letting off steam and having a good time.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Nov. 20, 2012 - In an effort to control some of these activities and to provide an environment that allows Schoolies to enjoy their break without outside influences getting close to them (potentially selling drugs etc), the Department of Communities runs a variety of activities designed to cater to these unique requirements.

A large part of this is the famous Schoolies Wristband.

AAC has been supplying wristbands for Schoolies for years and is excited to be supplying Schoolies yet again in 2012. Schoolies wristbands are made from a woven polyester material, making it perfect for multi-day use.

Woven wristbands are used at the Schoolie event in order to distinguish any unwanted guests including underaged teens and over aged Toolies. The wristbands are handed out on display of a year 12 student ID card at either a designated handout centre or at allocated Red Frog Hotels. This year they are being very harsh,  so remember: No valid ID = No official Schoolies ID = No access. No exceptions!

According to the Queensland Government “A fenced area, known as the Schoolies Hub, will be located on central Surfers Paradise beach. The Hub will open nightly from 7pm to midnight and is for exclusive access by Schoolies only”. In order to gain access to this hub, Schoolies must be wearing their official Schoolies Wristband. http://www.schoolies.qld.gov.au/schoolies/where-and-when/...

Schoolies busses are supplied every night at Schoolies, and run every 20 minutes, which is also free to use if the Schoolie is wearing their wristband.

Schoolies are urged to keep their wristband on for the duration of their stay on the Gold Coast. Schoolies have been warned not to tamper, share, remove or cut the Schoolies wristband, as security will be constantly checking the wristbands. If there have been any signs of the above the wristband will be confiscated from the Schoolie and they will be denied entry to any of the Schoolie events.

All of the above shows just how important the Schoolies Wristbands are. AAC, as the leading supplier of woven security wristbands in Australia, is proud to supply these secure, neon coloured woven bands year in and year out.

The Queensland Government is a big support of the Schoolies event and offers a variety of helpful tips on their website. Including tips on
