Dr. Catrise Austin Donating Free Dental Services in NYC!

Nov. 19, 2012 - PRLog -- Dr. Catrise Austin of New York City Cosmetic and General Dentistry is participating in this year’s Greater New York Smiles program. Dr. Austin will donate dental services on Monday, November 26th of 2012. Dr. Austin started her career in NYC seeing children as a part of the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation. The Corporation provides free dental care in schools. As part of her continued commitment to give back, and educate, Dr. Austin is proud to be part of this year’s conference where hundreds of volunteer dentists and hygienists will see  over 1,500 children.  Dr. Austin will be teaching the children how to brush, floss, maintain a healthy diet, and she will deliver free dental screenings.

“The children are being bused in from five NYC boroughs. I learned, first-hand, why this program is so important. Without the many dentists and hygienists who volunteer their time, many of the kids wouldn’t have access to dental care or learn about oral hygiene,” said Dr. Austin.  “Volunteering has always been part of my belief system. Giving back gives children (people too) so many opportunities. I can’t wait for November 26th to arrive. I really look forward to donating my services, giving my time, and teaching these kids how to take care of their teeth.”

The Greater New York Smiles program is part of The Greater New York Dental Meeting -the largest dental meeting in North America. The meeting will take place Nov 25-28th at New York's Jacob Javitz Center. “With all that has happened with Hurricane Sandy these kids need our services more than ever.  And, I’m hoping that by volunteering my time- I am also teaching younger individuals to be of service to their communities.”
