11th Annual Shelton Leadership Forum at NC State University November 16, 2012

Last week’s forum assembled many inspirational leaders for a professional dialogue to build on community partnerships and personal growth.

 
PRLog - Nov. 19, 2012 - The 11th Annual General H. Hugh Shelton National Leadership Forum took place last Friday at the McKimmon Conference Center at NC State University featuring the Keynote speaker, John Chambers, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Cisco Systems, Inc.  

The forum took place on November 16th, 2012 with the focus on “Leading Organizations through the Eyes of Innovators”. Sessions at the event began at 8:45 AM with a panel discussion by Michael Chen, Founder of New Mind Education; Karne LeVert, CEO and Co-Founder of Southeast TechInventures, Inc.; and Michael Zapata III, Chairman of ArrayXpress. The Keynote speaker, John Chambers, delivered his speech titled “Defining What’s Possible: Leadership, Innovation and Connecting the Unconnected” followed by a segment by General Shelton himself.  General Hugh Shelton spoke on the Keynote of the event, “Strategic Leadership.”

The Shelton Leadership Forum was sponsored by many business leaders, including Tedd Johnson, CEO of income.com, the online community for up-and-coming innovators and influencers in the business world. Tedd Johnson and Chad Chiniquy, CEO of Search Control, were two of many attendees who gained from hearing the personal insight of the speakers at the forum. The Shelton Leadership Forum as a whole focuses on the importance of leadership development and is one program offered by the General Hugh’s Shelton Leadership Center at the NC State’s Office of the Provost.
