With the busy holiday season kicking off on Thanksgiving, a lot of retailers have pushed employees to do things only in the best interest of the company. In fact, petitions have been signed across the country asking major retailers not to force their employees to work Thanksgiving, but they have fallen on deaf ears.

Rather than mandating a “Work on Thanksgiving” policy, Sonic Electronix offers a 100% voluntary option for their highly trained Customer Commitment Team. Additionally, customers who place an order on Thanksgiving receive 10% store credit towards a future order and can take advantage of nearly all the Black Friday deals.

Here’s how it works. The staff sign up 2-4 weeks in advance to work on Thanksgiving and the openings are in high demand. Why are these openings so coveted? It’s simple - each representative receives double pay and a paid holiday. Additionally, the abbreviated hours (they close at 2PM Pacific that day) means the employees can still make it home for dinner. The Sonic Electronix call center will be open from 8AM – 2PM Pacific on Thursday November 22, 2012. All phone orders placed on Thanksgiving Day will receive a 10% store credit applicable towards a future order placed between January 1, 2013 and February 28, 2013.
