Here’s how it works. The staff sign up 2-4 weeks in advance to work on Thanksgiving and the openings are in high demand. Why are these openings so coveted? It’s simple - each representative receives double pay and a paid holiday. Additionally, the abbreviated hours (they close at 2PM Pacific that day) means the employees can still make it home for dinner. In its third year, the program has received great response from employees and consumers. “This is a real win for Sonic Electronix, but more importantly a real win for our customers and employees. We’re available to help customers who need assistance in making their purchase, and employees have the opportunity to earn extra money,” founder and CEO Nathaniel Victor commented.
The Sonic Electronix call center will be open from 8AM – 2PM Pacific on Thursday November 22, 2012. All phone orders placed on Thanksgiving Day will receive a 10% store credit applicable towards a future order placed between January 1, 2013 and February 28, 2013.
