Turkey Trot
Starting in 1984, the Turkey Trot began with only 30 runners, but since then has grown to an annual event with thousands of participants. Currently there are around 8,700 runners registered for the event. One of McGrath's own Sales and Leasing consultants, Don Leonardis, has been involved in the run since it began and continues to play an active role in the event.
Nearly $2.3 million has been raised since 1984 to help families in need in DuPage County. Charities that benefit from the Trot include Loaves and Fishes Community Pantry, West Suburban Community Pantry, and others. Since the dissolution of the Chicago Anti-hunger Federation in 2011, the Trot will play a vital role in feeding area families.
As a special treat, the Lima Lima Flight Team will perform a special flyover right before the start of the race. Originally out of Naperville, this six-man flight team is one of the most recognized civilian acrobatic flight teams in the world.

6:30am: Race Registration and T-Shirt Pick-up
6:45am: York Road closes
7:00am: Shuttle Buses begin routes
8:50am: Lima Lima flyover
9:00am: Race Starts
10:10am: Awards in tent, Trotwear sales, and snacks
11:00am: York Road re-opens
11:55am: Final Shuttle Bus trip
