Restaurant Unveils New Small Plates Menu Concept with Live Music

At Rapour Restaurant and Lounge they think so. According to Executive Chef Greg Stillman,

“Today’s diners are in tune with their waistlines, but still looking for fulfilling dishes. There is something entertaining about ordering a variety of smaller portions of food a la carte, delivered at a self-governed pace and sharing the experience with friends.”  

The chance to sample some of everything is intriguing and certainly shakes up the idea of one entrée.

Rapour Restaurant and Lounge, in Victoria Gardens Shopping Center, has recognized the trend to smaller portion dishes and recently transitioned their traditional dinner menu to an entire range of gourmet small plate offerings. Served daily from 3p, and starting at $4, the smaller-sized dishes are more economical for the diner and offer up a chance to savor many types of food from their three kitchens.

All the original entrée-sized dishes, now small plates, are still an artful creation that will more than satisfy the palate with bursts of flavor.

Rapour’s famous Lobster Mac ‘n’ Cheese and Duck Leg Confit are still part of the menu, as is the Grilled Flat Iron Steak and many other former entrees.  

New small plate additions are:  

•        Shrimp and Grits-- adding a Southern touch to the menu

•        Chinese Chicken Salad

•        Gourmet Sliders – such as from Kobe Beef and Salmon BLT

Diners who want more of a filling experience and a variety of sharable plates may also choose from a “Series of” choosing from 3, 5 or 7 items on the menu, ranging from $19 to $42.  

Assistant General Manager, Maggie Hope, said, “Customers now feel more comfortable experiencing different dishes that were previously offered as large entrees. It gives them an opportunity to try more plates, including desserts, at a lesser price and satisfy their curiosity. Plus our mid-week specials offer additional value.”


Fast becoming a popular favorite, Sunday Jazz Brunch, featuring the Rapour Jazz Trio will continue to feature artistically presented full-plated entrées. Rapour has the “Only Sunday Jazz Brunch in Victoria Gardens,” complete with a complimentary glass of champagne, Mimosa or Bellini and French-pressed coffee that is sure to satisfy at only $19 per person. Rapour also offers a la carte dishes and a $6 children’s menu.
