Get Insights On Engine Bearing Material Selection At King's 2012 PRI And IMIS Technical Seminars

Ron Sledge, a popular industry speaker on engine bearing technology, will present "Engine Bearing Material Selection: Extreme Loading Without Failure."

The seminar at the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Trade Show will take place on Friday, November 30 at 2 p.m. in room S-230 A&B at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. Sledge will present the same one-hour seminar at the International Motorsports Industry Show (IMIS) on Friday, December 7 at 2 p.m. in Engine Room #1 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, Ind.

Sledge’s seminars will look at determining PSI loading and how it is calculated, understanding application environments, bearing construction and materials types,  peak load duration, crankshaft surface finish and mixing bearing under sizes to obtain desired oil clearances. Sledge will also recommend different King performance bearing types for specific race applications.

“My goal is to help engine builders pair the correct engine building materials and construction to the race application they are working on so they can experience maximum success on the track," explained Sledge.
