Book Fest 2012 will take place at Greetings & Readings, an independent bookseller located in the Hunt Valley Towne Centre. From 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 1, attendees will meet local authors and pick up autographed copies of their latest titles.
Among the authors scheduled to attend Book Fest 2012 is Jill Smokler, who’s Confessions of a Scary Mommy has been featured on NBC’s The Today Show. New York Times bestselling author Michael Ian Black called it “hilarious, brutal honesty about parenting.”
Former Baltimore Sun writer, reporter and columnist Rob Kasper will visit with his popular title, Baltimore Beer: A Satisfying History of Charm City Brewing.
Kasper and Smokler will be joined by more than 20 additional authors – their titles ranging from fiction to nonfiction, local topics to fantasy worlds – with an eclectic variety of subjects appealing to readers from every age group.
A portion of the day’s book sales will be donated to the Maryland chapter of Habitat for Humanity, a non-profit organization devoted to building simple, decent and affordable housing (http://en.wikipedia.org/
