Since launching about 10 weeks ago, more than 250,000 pieces of kids’ artwork have been uploaded. In the coming weeks, the Company will launch its print feature and soon after an Android version of the app. The Kive Company will develop additional apps as well as publish parenting apps from other developers.
“Artkive solves a problem that nearly every parent can relate to – what to do with all the artwork kids create,” said Jedd Gold, CEO of The Kive Company. “The response to Artkive has been incredible with people finding amazing ways to use the app –storing not only artwork but school work, kids activities and more. We look forward to introducing new features and future apps to further help busy parents simplify and organize their lives.”
The funding also coincides with Artkive joining Amplify LA, a hands-on startup accelerator and entrepreneurial campus located in the heart of Venice, an area dubbed Silicon Beach. Amplify's goal is to help companies thrive by offering them four months of intense collaboration with an unmatched team of investors, mentors and executives who are committed to helping build startups into strong, scalable, successful companies.
