Nov. 19, 2012 - PRLog -- Raleigh, NC (November 19, 2012) – In the spirit of the holiday season, The INS Group — a consulting firm dedicated to creating innovative solutions for nonprofits, government agencies, and faith-based institutions nationwide — will  waive the registration fee for its “12 Steps for Securing a Successful Grant” webinar on December 4 at 2 pm (ET). This complimentary 90-minute webinar will wrap up a year-long e-learning series focused on helping nonprofit organizations build capacity and sustain their programs.

Using interactive WebEx technology, “12 Steps for Securing a Successful Grant” will outline the process that should be taken to win grants from private and corporate foundations. Participants will learn strategies for writing a competitive and compelling narrative, as well as the criteria funders use to review proposals. The webinar is targeted at both individuals who are new to grant writing and experienced nonprofit managers who want to strengthen their grant-writing skills and communications with funders.

Those wishing to participate in the webinar should register at http://www.theinsgroup.com/gran/12-steps-for-securing-a-successful-grant. In addition to participation in the live, interactive webinar, registrants will receive unlimited online access to a recording of the webinar, the PowerPoint presentation from the session, and an opportunity to ask questions after the webinar.

The information-rich training will be facilitated by The INS Group president and founder Ruth Peebles. Ms. Peebles brings nearly 25 years of hands-on experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, organizational development, and project management. She also serves as an instructor for the Duke University Certificate Program in Nonprofit Management, Wake Technical Community College, and adjunct instructor for the Master of Public Administration Program at North Carolina State University. Ms. Peebles is a member of the board of directors of the Wake County Affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation and a founding member of the Next Generation of African American Philanthropists Fund.

“We look forward to presenting a free learning event to nonprofit organizations,” says Ms. Peebles. “It’s our way of giving back to organizations that are making a much-needed social impact in our communities.”
