Nov. 18, 2012 - PRLog -- The release party for I AM will be held on Sunday, December 2nd at Canyon Moon Theatre from 6:30 to 8:30PM. Tickets can be purchased at the door that night or in advance at www.ShondraMusic.com. Admission will include a CD, reception of appetizers and refreshments in the theatre foyer prior to a performance of several songs from the CD by Shondra. She is donating a portion of the funds collected that evening to help benefit Canyon Moon Theatre and the Center for Positive Living Sedona.

Shondra is known as a singer entertainer with her husband partner Tom Jepperson performing their shows in the Sedona area and around the country. Many don’t know that Shondra has been and continues to be the Music Director for the Center for Positive Living Sedona for six years and running. Both she and Tom solo every Sunday for the Center’s morning celebrations at Canyon Moon Theatre at 10am.

Once her long awaited Rock CD, Inside Fire was released on October 30th, Shondra has been focused on getting her I AM CD produced. Several of the songs on this CD have already been published in three different International Unity Songbooks over the past few years.

Many Sedona residents will recognize a few popular songs that the community has embraced such as The Children’s Anthem in which is always featured with Shondra singing with music students at the West Sedona School and Big Park Elementary School’s International Night Celebrations. Since 1998, The Children’s Anthem has been sung throughout the USA in churches, festivals and conventions by various children choirs including a featured performance by Shondra for 11,000 plus attendees at a Mexican Independence Day celebration concert in Ensenada, Mexico with the help of a translator.

Her song, We Can Survive, was adopted ten years ago as the anthem for the Survivor’s lap in which she sings every year while cancer survivors and their caretakers take their first walk around the field at the Sedona Relay for Life Race. Shondra first wrote the song for a

Los Angeles based organization called “Cancervive” who awarded celebrity cancer survivors such as the late Lee Remick with “Gilda Awards” named after the late comedian, Gilda Radner. Each “Laugh for Life” comedy concerts for that organization opened with Shondra singing the song and she had the pleasure of being accompanied several times by jazz sax player and music legend Tom Scott and his band. Those concerts were held throughout the 90’s at Los Angeles venues in which included the Westwood Playhouse, The Improv and The Comedy Store.

Shondra said, “A lot of my friends and co-horts have been encouraging me to produce a CD of my inspirational songs for a very long time and it just felt like this was the year to do it. Producing two different genres of CDs in a year has been quite an amazing journey!”  She continued, “These songs are not religious. They are a compilation of upbeat, fun and moving tunes in which my intentions are to uplift, inspire and help folks in some way to get in touch with the concept of oneness with everyone, everything and the blessings we have all around us.”

Shondra continued, “One of my songs, That’s Alright with Me features a lot of my dearest comrades who happen to be some of Sedona’s most popular singers, musicians and entertainers.” The long list of artists include her husband partner Tom Jepperson, along with Jeanie Carroll, Sammy Davis, Jennifer Jane, Gail Kennedy, Susannah Martin, Eric Miller, Alex Ogburn, Dev Ross, Steve Sandner, Eric Williams and three of her voice & acting students, Mia Sadler, Aidan Schultz and Kennedy Shosted.

She added, “As with my Inside Fire CD, I’ve had the blessing of working with the same team of talented individuals and I adore them all.” Music producer Kenny Star of Star Tracks Recording in Sedona

Along with Shondra co-produced six of the songs on this CD including re-mastering six other original tunes that Shondra had been previously recorded in several different studios in San Diego.

Larry Pollock of Larry Pollock Photography designed the CD cover. Jack Hillman who developed ShondraMusic.com also added his expertise on the final CD artwork. Bruce Fraser of Sedona Video and Al Comello of Comello Media created a song/lyric video of one of her songs called, The Children’s Anthem which was filmed at a LIVE performance with the children who participated at last year’s International Night celebration at the West Sedona School. The song can be enjoyed on Shondra’s website ShondraMusic.com. I AM will be available on iTunes, www.shondramusic.com and other websites the day after the release party.
