Celebrate Three Kings Day at Sweet Elena’s Bakery and Café on Saturday, January 5th, 2013

SAND CITY, CA Three Kings Day is celebrated every January 6th and it is the traditional day the Magi, or the Three Kings (Three Wise Men), visited the Christ Child in Bethlehem. They came bearing gifts of Gold, Frankincense, and Myrrh.

Sweet Elena’s Bakery and Café Invites You To Save The Date To Celebrate Three Kings Day: (Sweet Elena's To Celebrate Saturday January, 5th)

•         465 D Olympia Avenue in Sand City
When:
•          Sweet Elena's will Celebrate the Day on Saturday, January 5th
Time:
•          2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Cost:
•          Hot Chocolate and slice of cake to try to find the special treat for $5.00 for children.
•          Wine from Ventana Vineyards and a slice of cake to try to find the treat for adults for $10.00.
Details:
•          This is a great day for kids! Stop by and celebrate.
•          Sweet Elena’s makes the Three Kings cake. Eat the cake and find the one figurine in the cake and be the King! The child who finds the figurine (a Provence’s Santon) gets to select his or her King of Queen, they will leave with the “Santon” and their crowns. They are to throw the next party and buy the next cake. The tradition is to celebrate through the winter all the way to Mardi Gras which will be the last party before Lent. A fun way to gather with friends through the winter months.
•          Sweet Elena’s crowns the King of Queen with a special hat for the day. The tradition continues throughout the day with each King or Queen purchasing a cake and throughout the day and celebrating.
