Southern Illinois Man Completes 20 Year Dream to Pen a Novel

Fairfield, Il.– Jeff Jake, the work comp manager of a Fairfield company has fulfilled a 20 year dream to pen a novel.

“I started to write my novel twenty years ago and chickened out,” Jeff said. “I couldn’t get away from the story. It was always in the back of my mind. So, with some encouragement from my family, I completed Assassin’s Retribution.©”

Assassin’s Retribution©, is set in a futuristic world where governments have fallen and corporations have taken control. Companies have built walled city states and between them lay a waste land. The new currency is technology, specifically, cybernetic enhancements. These corporations employ spies and assassin’s to get ahead. Natasha is one of the best. However, during a routine assignment, she discovers an old nemesis has found her. Now, she has to track the rival down before she becomes another casualty in the war to control the latest in technology.

Assassin’s Retribution©, the first book in a series, is currently available in e-book format from Amazon.com. The book will also be offered on Nook and iBooks. Jeff hopes to find a publisher willing to take on the story for a print edition.

Jeff is currently working on The Valiant Incident©, an action packed story of the human races expansion to the stars and subsequent disastrous first contact. He also plans to finish the follow up to his first novel, Assassin’s Redemption©.
