Chris Canty Foundation Wine Tasting Monday At Coppola's In N.Y. To Benefit Children Hit By Sandy

Nov. 16, 2012 - PRLog -- More than 100 wine enthusiasts, philanthropists, and Big Blue fans will join Chris Canty, starting defensive tackle of the New York Giants for a Wine Tasting Benefit for the Chris Canty Foundation, Monday, November 19, 2012 from 6:30pm – 9:00pm at Coppola’s Restaurant (378 Third Avenue, New York, NY 10016).

Registration remains available for anyone, over the age of 21, interested in sampling an assortment of wines from various regions throughout the world.  Sponsors include Encore Wines, The Hotaling Group, Prime Diagnostics, Steiner Sports Marketing & Memorabilia, Wines by Ten Folks.

The Chris Canty Foundation is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to enhancing the total development of youth in our communities.  Working with families and neighborhood programs, the foundation synergistically provides avenues for children to develop their talents and gifts.  By creating an environment in which personal attention and support are given, each child fosters a sense of value and self-confidence.  Given the recent tragic events of Hurricane Sandy, proceeds from the Tasting will benefit children directly affected by Sandy.

Heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served, prepared by Chef Salvatore Coppola owner of Coppola’s.  Chef Salvatore began training at an early age. As the son of Naples born parents, Salvatore spent many hours in the kitchen learning to cook and refining the same Northern Italian recipes in both of his restaurants.

In addition to the tasting there will be a live and silent auction. Throughout the evening, attendees will also have the opportunity to bid on a variety of silent auction items including sports memorabilia, and two (2) raffle tickets per guest for door prizes. There will also be special appearances made by Canty’s fellow New York Giants teammates.
