Hope for the Holidays; Coping with Loss

Holidays are a difficult time for a person experiencing grief.  There is such a disparity between the world of holiday festivities, and the feelings a person experiences following the death of a loved one.  As a community outreach, The Panoch Family, and Staff of Gary Panoch Funeral Home is hosting its 9th annual program of encouragement entitled “Hope for the Holidays.” “Memories are some of the most important things in anyone’s life.   Holidays are filled with memories, which are changed after someone experiences a death.  Our program will assist family and friends in the healing process.  The most important thing a funeral home does is take care of the living.  We know this time of year, especially with a loss of a loved one, can be very difficult so we are here to help,” states Gary Panoch of Gary Panoch Funeral Home. “This program is one of the many ways our family owned firm gives back to our community. “   Families and friends are encouraged to attend this event together on Saturday, December 8, 2012 from 1:00 to 3P.M. at the funeral home, 6140 N. Federal Highway, Boca Raton.    

The 9th annual community non-denominational program will feature Rev. Ray Wehrenberg, locally recognized speaker on grief and bereavement issues, who will share practical advice and specific ways of coping thoughts that help people adjust during the holiday season and on other special days of remembrance.  A memorial candle lighting remembrance will conclude the service. Light refreshments will then be served providing a time to connect more personally with Rev. Wehrenberg and others experiencing loss. Reservations for this event are requested.
