The Taoist 4 Ascendant Tradition is a shortned form for the 4 Ascendant Sphere Purity Adept School of the Tao. It is an actively engaged and practiced sect of spiritual Taoism.
It's focus is two fold:
1) Achieve reliable and resilient day to day happiness.
2) Achieve spiritual enlightenment.
Not everyone has the goal of achieving spiritual enlightenment. It is preferable first to achieve a knowledge of self, and then use that knowledge to start the process of happiness.
The happiness that can be achieved is very down to Earth. Within the Taoist tradition, we are look at having successful relationships, finances, and health.
