C W Sellors’ kick starts the festive season with a very British Christmas Showcase

Nov. 16, 2012 - PRLog -- The festive event, now in its eleventh year was attended by over 2,600 visitors and brought together the most desirable collections of British & international jewellery brands and watches in one glamorous venue.

Guests were welcomed by a busby outfitted guard with the showcase offering a memorable mix of festive fun, surprises and most importantly, sparkle. From the world’s finest diamonds and pearls to award winning handcrafted British designs and gemstones through to showcasing today’s most luxurious timepiece collections, there was something to tempt everyone.

In a unique inclusion to this year’s Showcase, courtesy of guest speakers from The Goldsmiths Company and The Gemological Association of Great Britain, guests were welcome to attend a series of fascinating talks provided by experts in their field of hallmarking, diamonds and British gemstones.

Santa was on hand to entertain the ladies whose turn it was to dress lavishly in a stunningly beautiful Hans D Krieger 108.60carat brilliant cut diamond necklet and matching bracelet with a combined value of over £275,000. Sat with Santa and wearing the stunning necklace, the ladies were photographed with donations being graciously received to raise funds for the NSPCC. Customers were also given the opportunity to have their own jewellery cleaned to bring the sparkle back to their pieces with donations going to the NSPCC.

The ‘find a diamond’ challenged guests to select the real diamond from a sparkling sea of cubic zirconia raising money for the DLRAA. The showcase raised a combined total of over £1,700 for the selected two charities.

Having the opportunity to support and raise money for such notable causes makes the weekend even more enjoyable.”

The event showcased this season’s internationally sought after designs from names such as Mikimoto, Picchiotti, Krieger, Fope and Chimento, which were presented alongside beautifully handcrafted and award winning British collections by CW Sellors, made in the company’s Derbyshire workshops.  New for this year’s event was an extended range of luxury and fashion watches, following the merger of CW Sellors online watch arm with Jura Watches.
