Dominion Mixed Martial Arts Hosts 1st Annual Nina Cutro-Kelly Judo and Sambo Seminar

PRLog (Press Release) - Nov. 16, 2012 - On October 13, 2012, Dominion Mixed Martial Arts held its 1st Annual Nina Cutro-Kelly Judo/Sambo Seminar at its academy in San Antonio, Texas. Nina Cutro-Kelly, 3rd degree Judo black belt and 1st Class International Master of Sambo held the event to help students understand the similarities between Judo and Russian Sport Sambo and to show Dominion Mixed Martial Arts students specialized techniques. Nina also showed the students a Sambo kurtka. which is the uniform top that is worn by fighters that compete in either Sport or Combat Sambo, and she brought along a Sambo manual that was first printed in 1972 showing the original Sambo techniques that were taught in Russia.

The seminar was divided into two sessions so that students could have the opportunity to learn techniques and then eventually apply them in an open mat format at Dominion Mixed Martial Arts Academy.  Mr. Rodriguez, resident Sambo Instructor/Coach at Dominion Mixed Martial Arts was excited to have Ms. Kelly host this seminar at Dominion Mixed Martial Arts Academy. According to Mr. Rodriguez, "Nina has both technique and the natural ability to help students grasp the information she is presenting. It's obvious that from her Judo training and competition and from her recent fighting experience in Sambo she has become a natural leader for the sport of Sambo."

Nina Cutro-Kelly is an 11 time national medalist in Judo; 2011 World Sambo Bronze Medalist; 3 time Judo National Champion; Judo World Championship Competitor; World Cup Silver Medalist; First Class International Master of Sambo; and National Champion Wrestler.
