Portland Area Civil War Pep Rally Once Again Hosted at Bridgeport Village

Nov. 15, 2012 - PRLog -- Bridgeport Village, Portland’s premier shopping and dining destination, invites and Beaver and Duck fans to the third annual Beavers vs. Ducks Pep Rally Wednesday, November 21, 2012 from 5:00 – 7:30 p.m.  in center court under the giant gazebo.

The Portland-area’s largest pre-game pep rally before Oregon State University and University of Oregon face off November 24 at Reser Stadium, the Beavers vs. Ducks Pep Rally will feature appearances by both Benny the Beaver and Puddles the Duck, live entertainment from both university cheer squads and the sounds of “ The Beat Goes On” Marching Band, playing the Ducks and Beavers fight songs as well as other game day favorites. The event and activities are free and open to the public.

There will also be two tickets to the big game given away at the rally.  Attendees can better their chances of winning the tickets by donating toys.  For each toy donated to Impact Northwest’s holiday toy drive guests will receive one raffle ticket, with the winner picked at random at the pep rally.

“This is such a fun and spirited event for us.  Beaver and Duck fans bring such amazing spirit and energy to Bridgeport Village,” said Sarah Sumpter, Marketing Manager for Bridgeport Village. “This year’s game is so exciting given both the Ducks and Beavers great seasons.”

Bridgeport Village will also host a Duck and Beaver trivia contest, and the ultimate fan costume contest.  There will also be fun fan contests including a cookie eating contest and yogurt brain freeze challenge.  Another special feature this year will be a special “football version” of the “Signing Christmas Tree”.
